“The American Nightmare” takes on The “Maverick” at WWE King and Queen of the Ring

On the latest episode of SmackDown, Nick Aldis announced Logan Paul as the next opponent for Cody Rhodes. Logan Paul claims that he wants to main event King and Queen of the Ring in a Champion vs Champion match. Cody then went on to claim that he too wanted two titles. Logan stopped him saying that he is the longest reigning champion in the company’s current roster and wanted to make it a Logan Paul Levesque Era. Logan teased about ending Cody Rhodes’ reign by knocking him out.

Cody then stopped him and said that all he wanted is to have the United States Championship, as it would make him the Grand Slam Champion in the company. He also claimed that Logan is nothing without the brass knuckles. Both the champions claimed to be the best and the segment ended with both the championship being raised over their heads. There started confusion among fans about whether the United States Championship will be on the line or not.

Is Cody Rhodes vs Logan Paul a winner-takes-all match?

Following the segment, Cody Rhodes on X/Twitter wrote “2 belts”, teasing their match at King and Queen of the Ring as the winner-takes-all match. Logan Paul on the other hand reposted his previous tweet “We want Cody” and wrote “I get what I want”.

PW Chronicle reported that it would be a “Champion vs Champion” non-title match. If it were both titles, they are positive that it would be a “Winner Takes All” match.

Fightful claims that it is only for the WWE Championship at King and Queen of the Ring.

Following the rumors, Cody Rhodes has confirmed that both the Undisputed WWE Championship and United States Championship will be on the line at King and Queen of the Ring PLE. Cody has retweeted the match card on X/Twitter and wrote, “For All The Gold”. He has also pinned the tweet to the top of his profile.

Seth Rollins was the last person to win both the WWE & United States Championship in a winner takes all match. Could we see a new double champ walking out with both the titles at the King and Queen of the Ring 2024 PLE? Share your thoughts in the comments.
