Nick Khan teased the location of WrestleMania 44 last month.

WWE President Nick Khan, during a TKO town hall last month, suggested that WWE already has significant long-term plans in place for WrestleMania and urged the staff to wait for the location announcement for WrestleMania 2028.

“Wait until you hear the announcement on where we’re going to be for WrestleMania in 2028,”

The quote sparked major speculations among fans who started debating whether the host city is London, a city that fans and superstars like John Cena have rallied behind to host the ‘Grandest Stage.’ Even the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has actively pursued talks with WWE to host the Mania PLE in the city.

Amid the speculations, a new report from POST Wrestling has revealed that the city will not be hosting the PLE in 2028. According to the report, the office of the Mayor of London said there have been no specific talks with WWE about bringing WrestleMania to the city in 2028.

The report added that Khan is determined to bring more global sports events to the city, including WWE’s major events, and is in talks about future opportunities. This comment makes it clear that, at least right now, there are no active talks for WrestleMania in London.

“There are general discussions with WWE, but at present no specific discussions around bringing the 2028 WrestleMania to London,” Tom Degun of the Economic Desk with the Mayor of London’s Press Office wrote to POST Wrestling by email.

While WrestleMania in 2028 isn’t being discussed, Degun told us earlier that Mayor Sadiq Khan is “determined to bring even more sports from around the world to London, including the biggest WWE events, and continues to discuss future opportunities.”

According to earlier reports from POST Wrestling, the Observer, and WrestleVotes, Nashville, Tennessee, currently appears to be the leading candidate in discussions with WWE to host the 44th edition of the ‘Grandest Stage’ in 2028.

Ireland has also entered the discussion to host Mania, with Fightful Select noting that WWE’s plans to bring WrestleMania to Ireland are considered a long-term goal within the company, although several obstacles still need to be addressed. Regarding the potential location, the report notes that Croke Park in Dublin would be the likely site.

Will London host WrestleMania in 2028?
