Fans have long been hoping to see the Texas Rattlesnake back on WWE programming, with speculation about a possible in-ring return often intensifying around WrestleMania season. This time, however, the buzz is centered on the special 3:16 episode of WWE Raw, as fans wonder whether Stone Cold might make an appearance.
Will Stone Cold appear on Raw to celebrate the 3:16 days?
March 16 every year is celebrated by fans and WWE as Stone Cold Day. The phrase comes from Austin’s iconic “Austin 3:16” promo after he defeated Jake Roberts at the King of the Ring 1996 tournament.
Fans are now hoping to see Austin return on the iconic day to celebrate with fans. The speculations picked up more steam after a report revealed that WWE is hopeful that Steve Austin could show up on next week’s Raw, as the company has been in talks with him about making an appearance on 3:16 day.
Apart from the report, there is no clear confirmation regarding his return, which makes the situation even more intriguing, as a major surprise appearance could be in store for fans.
The March 16 episode of Monday Night Raw will take place live from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Rhea Ripley, Penta, and Becky Lynch are listed as featured superstars for the show.
Along with Brock Lesnar, the show will also feature an appearance from Roman Reigns, following the controversial segment, where CM Punk vowed to bury him next to his father.
A title clash, along with three singles matches for the show. Additionally, after kicking out Finn Balor from the faction, Dominik Mysterio, along with the rest of the Judgment Day (JD McDonagh, Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez), are set to appear on the show.
