The first PLE after WrestleMania will emanate from Tampa.
The first PLE after WrestleMania 42, which concluded last weekend, is Backlash 2026. The event is set for Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida. The show will feature the aftermath of WrestleMania.
The first Raw after WrestleMania 42 kicked off the build towards the show, and WWE teased multiple feuds while continuing older ones. Here, we will take a look at the predicted match card for the show after the fallout show of Raw.
6. Giulia (c) vs Tiffany Stratton ā Womenās US title
Womenās United States Champion Giulia has been feuding with Tiffany Stratton for weeks, even resulting in a non-title clash where Giulia won. There were reports of a title clash at WrestleMania, but nothing materialized.
Notably, Stratton defeated a returning Jordynne Grace on SmackDown before Mania last week, to earn the number one contenders spot, and is now set to battle Giulia for the US title. WWE might have missed booking the match for Mania, but they should definitely book it for Tampa next month.

5. The Vision vs The Street Profits & Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins jumped Bron Breakker and the Vision with a steel chair during last nightās Raw. This was a retaliation for the attack during WrestleMania, which cost Rollins the match against Gunther. However, the numbers game took over as Austin Theory and Logan Paul attacked Rollins, until the Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) made their return to attack Theory and Logan.
WWE will likely save the singles clash between Rollins and Breakker for a bigger event, likely SummerSlam, due to the storied feud, and might turn to book a six-man tag team match. The match can also be utilized to book Theory and Logan vs the Street Profits for the World Tag Team titles.
4. LA Knight vs Gunther

In a backstage segment during the show, LA Knight and Gunther both announced that theyāre eyeing the World title. The heated segment saw both men face off as fans started speculating on a potential clash between the two.
WWE might choose to book Knight and Gunther in a title eliminator match, with the winner facing Roman Reigns at Clash in Italy or even SummerSlam.
3. Liv Morgan (c) vs Stephanie Vaquer ā Womenās World title

Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer to capture the Womenās World title at WrestleMania. However, Vaquer made it clear that she is not done with Liv as she confronted the Champion on Raw following the latterās win over Sol Ruca.
The two stars have only battled once, and their feud, which has seen personal jabs and brutal physical altercations, might see them battle in a rematch at Backlash.
2. Penta (c) vs Rusev ā Intercontinental title

Rusev attacked JeāVon Evans during his match with Ethan Page. While he failed in the attack during the match, the distraction cost Evans the match. Rusev then launched an attack on Evans, and the IC Champion Penta came to aid Evans, attacking Rusev.
However, he too fell prey to the Bulgarian Brute, who locked him in the accolade, before letting go and putting the IC title on his shoulders to signal that, despite coming up short in the Mania IC title ladder match, he still wants the title. The segment hinted at a clash between Penta and Rusev with the IC title on the line, and WWE might choose to book it at the upcoming PLE.
1. Roman Reigns (c) vs Jacob Fatu ā World Heavyweight title

During the closing moments of the April 20 show, Roman Reigns, along with the Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso), celebrated his title win and discussed the future. However, Jacob Fatu interrupted the segment, challenging Roman for the title, stating that he doesnāt want the title, he needs the title, and while heās not out here to be Tribal Chief, he needs everything that Roman has.
Reigns is set to respond to the challenge next week, as he has asked Fatu to reconsider, and has asked the Usos to talk some sense into Fatu. With a major win at Mania, the next logical step for Fatu is the World title, and challenging the OTC makes his intentions clear.
WWE is likely going to book Reigns vs Fatu for the title at Backlash, and even if Fatu ends up short, a potential main event title clash against Roman Reigns is surely going to boost his standing on the roster.
