Rebecca Mary Quin better known as Becky Lynch was born on January 30, 1987, She is an Irish–American professional wrestler. Quin started training as a professional wrestler in 2002. She began her career in Ireland, occasionally teaming with her brother under the ring name Rebecca Knox and soon began wrestling on the independent circuit for various promoters throughout Europe and North America. She most notably fought in Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling and became the first SuperGirls Champion in 2005.

Lynch got a contract with WWE in 2013 and was assigned to the developmental territory NXT. Following her promotion to WWE’s main roster, she won the inaugural SmackDown Women’s Championship at Backlash 2016 and has held it five times.

Lynch brought out a more aggressive character in 2018, beginning with her attack on Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam, portraying herself as an unfairly treated underdog and referring to herself as “The Man,” which resulted in a significant spike in her popularity.

Lynch stated she used to like watching wrestling with her brother as a youngster, and when she decided she wanted to try it for herself, it just so happened that Finn Balor operated Ireland’s sole wrestling school.
• WWE originally didn’t plan to push Becky Lynch because of her accent – Becky Lynch has always been proud of her Irish roots, and she has maintained a distinct Irish accent throughout her career. Upon entering the WWE main roster, Bryan Alvarez revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio (via Sportskeeda) that Kevin Dunn, Executive Vice President of Television Production, disliked Becky Lynch’s accent and did not want to hear it again. Dave Meltzer also said that Vince McMahon did not want her to cut promos because he believed no one would understand her because to her accent.
