Netflix will be the new home of WWE RAW from January
WWE Monday Night RAW will premiere on the streaming behemoth Netflix in January 2025. The unprecedented contract, worth an estimated $5 billion, was inked earlier this year by the global streaming behemoth and TKO, WWE’s parent company.
As the Stamford-based promotion prepares for the debut of the Red brand, fans anticipate a slew of changes to the show, ranging from aggressive plots to greater violence in the fights, as there will be no constraints on the product as they are now on a less censored platform.
The highly awaited debut episode of the Red brand on the streaming giant Netflix will officially be held on January 6, 2025. The venue for the premier show will be the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.
This historic debut marks a significant milestone as the Red brand breaks away from traditional cable networks for the first time. By transitioning to the streaming platform, the promotion will gain unparalleled creative flexibility.
Netflix will be hosting a large WWE event at its headquarters
Ahead of the debut, the streaming giant will be hosting a big WWE event at their headquarters on December 03 as per reports from PWInsider.
The reports further indicate that the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, The Bloodline, and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan are scheduled to appear at the upcoming event being held at the streaming giant’s headquarters in Los Gatos, California.
According to reports, the Stamford-based promotion has been developing creative plans for the event, with rumors suggesting potential major returns.
Additionally, it’s been announced that the Red brand will revert to its traditional three-hour format when it premieres on the streaming platform.
The debut will feature multiple top stars including Roman Reigns, John Cena, and Cody Rhodes. Cena will kick off his retirement tour on the debut show.
