WWE confirms special RAW epsiode to mark the New Day's 10th anniversary

November 2024 marks a decade of The New Day in the WWE

Since their debut on July 21, 2014, The New Day faction which consists of Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E has made their impact on the wrestling world. The faction has an immense following and is known for its positive attitude.

It is also one of the most popular teams in the history of the promotion. The team holds multiple records in their ten-year run till now, which includes seven reigns as SmackDown Tag Team Champions, the most in history.

The uber-popular team also has a record-setting 483-day run as Raw Tag Team Champions to their name. With a combined total of 12 WWE-branded tag team title reigns (seven on SmackDown, four on Raw, and one on NXT), they are second only to WWE legends, The Dudley Boyz, who have had 18 title reigns.

In recent times, Big E from the faction has not wrestled since 2022 due to a neck injury but is involved in the programming backstage.

Kingston and Woods continue to compete in the promotion under the Red brand. In this week’s episode of the Red brand, they lost to the War Raiders in a tag team match.

Adam Pearce wants to dedicate a special episode of WWE Raw to celebrate The New Day

In a WWE Raw Exclusive this week, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce informed Kofi Kingston of his plans to dedicate a special episode of WWE Raw to celebrating the team and its accomplishments in the promotion.

Pearce stated that it is the time to celebrate as the team completes their tenth year in the promotion, “This year, ten years as New Day. It’s time to celebrate, man. You guys are one of the most decorated tag teams in WWE history.

Because of that, if it’s cool with guys, I actually wanted to dedicate a special episode of Raw to celebrating you. An entire episode, if it’s cool with you guys,” The Raw GM added.

Kingston expressed his enthusiasm, calling it a great idea and saying ‘it was awesome’. He acknowledged that the New Day had been going through a rough patch, but remained confident that everything would be just fine when the anniversary celebration arrived.

Adam then assured Kingston that he would make the necessary arrangements, but he did not reveal the date of the special episode or share any additional details.

In recent times, the faction has seen some bad days as there is a rift between Woods and Kingston. The two constantly seem to be in disagreement and communication has become a problem for the group.

Miscommunication between the two has also led to many losses in recent times for the group. WWE can also plan a return of Big E the powerhouse of the faction. Big E can try to bring the group back together in his return which would be a huge hit among The New Day fans.
