WWE SNME is scheduled to return on December 14
The Stamford-based promotion is bringing back Saturday Night’s Main Event after its last revived run in 2008. The classic show will return this week, with a special broadcast on both NBC and Peacock on December 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
The show will be telecasted from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, New York. The promotion has already announced three title matches for the card.
Apart from the announced matches the inaugural US title tournament finals will be conducted in Long Island next week. The final match of the opening round is scheduled for tonight’s episode of SmackDown.
Cody Rhodes will defend his Undisputed title against Kevin Owens, while Gunther will defend his Heavyweight crown against Finn Balor. Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan will take on Iyo Sky with the world title up for grabs.

WWE Legends lineup for SNME 2024 is taking shape
According to a recent WrestleVotes Radio episode, the promotion is considering a nostalgic tribute to the inaugural episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which originally aired nearly 40 years ago at the same Long Island, New York arena.
Multiple legends are in discussion for an appearance including the uber-popular Hulk Hogan, former Women’s Champion Wendi Richter, and Cowboy Bob Orton, Hogan’s opponent from the first Saturday Night’s Main Event.
“Specifically, we are hearing those names could include former WWF Women’s Champion Wendi Richter, who defeated the Fabulous Moolah that night, along with bringing in the two participants from the WWF Championship match that evening, which saw the immortal Hulk Hogan defeat Cowboy Bob Orton.
It’s worth noting that Jimmy Hart is already booked for this show, as was reported elsewhere, which could indeed signal that the Hulkster isn’t that far behind. We are hearing that WWE has discussed calling in specific legends, not just the same old [names].”
Hall of Fame manager Jimmy Hart, a longtime associate of Hulk Hogan, is reportedly confirmed to make an appearance at the upcoming event. Jesse Ventura is also expected to play a role, providing commentary for one or more of the matches.
Ahead of the highly anticipated return of the SNME next week in Long Island, New York. The Stamford-based promotion recently announced their plans for the second edition of SNME next month.
The promotion announced via a press release that the second edition of SNME will take place on Saturday, January 25 at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. The event will be just one week before the 2025 Royal Rumble which is scheduled for February 1st in Indianapolis.
