The latest injury update for Seth Rollins.

WWE Money in the Bank 2026 is less than 24 hours away, but there is something that might raise an eyebrow regarding Seth Rollins’ condition. Even though the Visionary isn’t set for any fight at PLE, he’s very important to the WWE.

According to the latest report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is currently suffering from a slight injury, and as such, the Stamford-based company has granted him extra time to recuperate before he makes his return to television.

This is because Rollins last appeared on the WWE TV screen on August 2, 2026, in a match against Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship. He lost that one and hasn’t wrestled in a televised WWE event since then.

The former champion continues to appear at non-TV shows, maintaining hopes of his return. Rollins was back in action at WWE’s live event tour in South America in September. He participated in non-TV bouts and thus proved that even though he had stopped appearing regularly on TV, it hasn’t stopped him from engaging in wrestling activities.

His last appearance was in the episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on October 9, where he was supposed to team up with LA Knight and Solo Sikoa against The 946 – Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price. It was a post-show match and was not aired on television.

It is expected that the company is seeking the appropriate time to return him in such a way that his return would leave a lasting impression. Details regarding the kind of injury and the return date are unknown.

WWE Hall of Famer calls Roman Reigns “Lazy”

WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts has delivered a blunt assessment of Roman Reigns, questioning the reigning champion’s recent performances and suggesting that he has not been making the most of his potential.

Roberts also raised concerns about WWE’s creative process, arguing that the reliance on writers may affect how modern wrestlers develop their characters and deliver promos.

Jake Roberts criticises Roman Reigns’ performances

During an interview published on the Inside The Ropes YouTube channel, Roberts was asked about Roman Reigns after the WWE star was mentioned by someone in the audience as their favorite wrestler.

Roberts did not hold back in his response, saying he believed Reigns had more to offer than what audiences were currently seeing.

“I just don’t like Roman with what he does out there. I think that he has better stuff in him yet, but I think that maybe he got a little fat, got a little lazy. You know, sometimes when you’re given so much, you quit producing. And I feel like then either that or he just needed better writers,” Roberts said.

The Hall of Famer went on to explain that he would struggle to work under the modern system because he prefers developing and delivering his own interviews rather than relying on written material.

While the latest MITB odds suggest that Roman Reigns will be able to defend his Heavyweight championship against LA Knight, the criticism certainly is a surprise for many.

Who will Roman Reigns face at Money in the Bank 2026?
