IYO SKY overcame an injured knee and a relentless Liv Morgan to win the Queen of the Ring tournament.

IYO SKY etched her name into WWE history at Night of Champions 2026 by defeating Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan in the Queen of the Ring tournament final.

Despite competing through a heavily targeted knee injury, SKY delivered one final burst of offense to secure the victory and become just the fourth Queen of the Ring in WWE history.

The victory also guarantees SKY a Women’s Championship match of her choosing at SummerSlam, where she immediately made her intentions clear by calling out Liv Morgan after the match.

Danhausen’s curse sets the stage before the tournament final

Before the bell, Danhausen received a warm ovation from the Riyadh crowd as he addressed the audience in his trademark fashion.

Riyadh-hausen,” he greeted before declaring, “Very nice. Very evil.” Danhausen joked that he had come into “a substantial amount of human monies” to continue his experiments.

Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan interrupted the segment, accusing Danhausen of owing The Judgment Day money and warning that “a lot of bad things” would happen if he failed to repay it.

Danhausen responded by insisting the only person in trouble was Morgan because she “is… CURSED!” Morgan answered by slapping him across the face before shifting her focus to the Queen of the Ring final.

With Morgan’s Women’s World Championship not on the line, the stakes centered on a guaranteed championship opportunity at WWE SummerSlam.

The crowd rallied behind SKY from the opening bell as both competitors exchanged counters and fast-paced offense. Morgan gradually seized control, punishing SKY with repeated knees, a diving facebuster, the Three Amigos tribute, and a series of submission holds.

Momentum shifted several times before disaster struck for SKY. Morgan shoved her from the top rope, causing SKY to land awkwardly on the steel steps as her left knee buckled underneath her.

Sensing an opportunity, Morgan relentlessly attacked the injured leg with stomps, a single-leg crab, and pinpoint strikes that repeatedly forced SKY to fight through visible pain.

Morgan came agonizingly close to victory after landing a devastating springboard Codebreaker, but SKY refused to stay down. The challenger countered an Ob-Liv-ion attempt before stunning Morgan with a Shotei uppercut and connecting with a breathtaking top-rope Spanish Fly.

Moments later, SKY climbed to the top rope one final time and delivered her signature Over the Moonsault to score the decisive pinfall.

Following the match, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis presented SKY with the Queen of the Ring crown. During her post-match interview with Byron Saxton, an emotional SKY declared, “I am the queen.

Pointing toward the recovering Liv Morgan at ringside, SKY delivered one final message:

“I’ll See you at SummerSlam!”

The newly crowned Queen of the Ring celebrated with her crown as Night of Champions closed with a statement victory, picking Morgan for SummerSlam.
