This week’s show will serve as the fallout show of WWE Heatwave 2025!

The 2025 edition of WWE NXT Heatwave concluded on Sunday in Lowell, Massachusetts. The 2025 edition was the first Heatwave to use the WWE logo solely and featured six matches.

Oba Femi retained the NXT title while Ash by Elegance defeated Jacy Jayne (c) and Masha Slamovich to become the new TNA Knockouts Champion. On the other hand, DarkState defeated Hank & Tank to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions.

Blake Monroe defeated Jordynne Grace in a grudge match, while Chelsea Green & Ethan Page defeated Tavion Heights & Tyra Mae Steele. Additionally, Lola Vice defeated Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan to become the #1 Contender for the NXT Women’s title.

During the show, GM Ava also announced that she is bringing in the men’s and women’s WWE Speed titles to the development brand. She also revealed that Women’s Speed Champion Sol Ruca will defend the title at NXT No Mercy, and her opponent will be decided by a tournament, which will kick off from the September 2 episode.

The tournament will feature one superstar from Raw or SmackDown, one superstar from NXT, TNA, and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.

During the show, the promotion also announced multiple matches for this week’s show of WWE NXT, which will travel back to the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, Florida. The August 26 episode will serve as the fallout show from Heatwave 2025.

Lexis King and Myles Borne are set to battle in a blindfold match on the fallout show, while Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx) are set to clash against the team of Lola Vice, Zaria, and Sol Ruca in a six-woman tag team match.

Furthermore, Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley will lock horns against Wren Sinclair; her partner is yet to be announced for the match.

Additionally, following their heated backstage exchange at Heatwave, GM Ava has made a clash between Blake Monroe and Kelani Jordan official for the fallout show.
