WWE RAW (August 17, 2026): Roman Reigns returns to welcome Solo Sikoa back into the Bloodline; World title tournament continues & more set for next week

WWE Raw kicked off the tournament to decide the next challenger for the World title.
The August 10 edition of Monday Night Raw concluded at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. The show kicked off the tournament to decide World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns’ title challenger for the September 14 edition of Raw in Mexico City.
Penta defeated Laredo Kid in the first round of the World Heavyweight title #1 Contenders tournament. The show also featured a fiery face-off between Bron Breakker and Oba Femi. On the other hand, Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer engaged in a promo battle, with Liv Morgan ambushing Becky after the segment.
On the other hand, Sol Ruca picked Iyo Sky as her tag partner, and the duo defeated the Judgment Day (Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez), with Ruca securing the pinfall after delivering a Sol Snatcher on Roxanne.
Roman Reigns returns in Buffalo, New York to address Bloodline drama
The August 10 show also featured Jey Uso defeating Solo Sikoa in the main event. The match had the stipulation that if Solo loses, he will have to rejoin the Bloodline. Solo lost the match, and Jey will now deliver Solo to Roman Reigns next week.
Speaking of the World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, the OTC will return to programming next week as the Bloodline drama takes center stage once again.
On the other hand, the ongoing tournament to decide the challenger for Reigns on the September 14 edition of Raw in Mexico City will continue next week. Two first-round matches have been announced for the show.
Rey Fenix will face El Fiscal in one matchup, while Dragon Lee will square off against El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in the other. The winner of these matches will advance into the semi-finals and join Penta, who secured his spot this week.
The August 17 edition of WWE Raw will emanate live from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. Roman Reigns, Oba Femi, Seth Rollins, Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, Sol Ruca, and Penta are listed as featured superstars for the show.
