WWE RAW (March 9, 2026): Oba Femi vs Rusev; Gauntlet match to determine who will challenge AJ Lee next & more set for next week

The WrestleMania build intensified on this week’s Raw.
In the aftermath of the Elimination Chamber PLE, WWE delivered the fallout show of Monday Night Raw. Live from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, the March 2 episode of WWE Raw featured the aftermath, while intensifying the build towards WrestleMania.
Seth Rollins made another appearance, attacking Paul Heyman, while Jimmy Uso targeted Austin Theory, and LA Knight abducted Heyman in an Ambulance. Gunther forced Dragon Lee to tap out after removing his mask, while “Original” El Grande Americano defeated Rayo Americano.
The impromptu clash between Jimmy Uso and Austin Theory ended in a DQ when Logan Paul attacked Big Jim. Jey Uso made his return on crutches, making the save. Rhea Ripley sent a warning to Jade Cargill, while Penta defeated Dominik Mysterio to capture his first title in the WWE.
In the closing moments of the show, CM Punk and Roman Reigns met in another promo battle where both had some harsh words for each other ahead of their WrestleMania showdown.
AJ Lee wants to be a fighting Champion
In her promo after capturing the WWE Women’s Intercontinental title, AJ Lee stated that she wants to be a fighting Champion and will defend the title next time she is in the ring. Lee also called out the entire locker room.
Later in the show, a gauntlet match to crown the number one contenders for the Women’s IC title was announced for next week. Lyra Valkyria, Bayley, Iyo Sky, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, and Ivy Nile will clash in the gauntlet match to secure a title shot.
Following their heated confrontation, which culminated in a brawl with Oba Femi standing tall and sending Rusev over the ropes, the two are now scheduled to face off in a singles match next week.
The March 9 episode of WWE Raw is set to take place at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. CM Punk, Rhea Ripley, Jey Uso, Penta, and Becky Lynch are listed as featured superstars.
