The August 31 episode of Monday Night Raw was pre-taped this past Friday (August 28) at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, as WWE held a double taping of Raw and SmackDown following last week’s show in Ottawa, Ontario.

Notably, the show will feature the return of World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, along with the finals of the tournament to crown his next challenger, and a Women’s Intercontinental Championship defence.

WWE Raw (August 31, 2026): SPOILERS

• The Usos arrived backstage but were attacked by Royce Keys and OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price). Jacob Fatu came to make the save but was too late, allowing Keys and OTM to drive away.
• Jacob Fatu came through the crowd before the first match, declaring war on Keys and OTM before destroying ringside equipment and taking out officials.
• Women’s Intercontinental Championship match: Raquel Rodriguez def. Sol Ruca after Lyra Valkyria interfered, with Judgment Day celebrating afterward.
• Chad Gable cut a promo about defending the Intercontinental Championship in Mexico City, calling out Dragon Lee before Ethan Page interrupted. Gable then set up a match between Dragon Lee and Page to determine his next challenger.
• WWE Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender’s match: Dragon Lee def. Ethan Page, with Page seen removing a turnbuckle pad during the bout.
• Roman Reigns delivered a promo explaining his “OTC” mindset before LA Knight confronted him. Backstage, Solo Sikoa was found laid out and bleeding, with Jacob Fatu implicated; Knight and Reigns then clashed.
• Je’Von Evans def. Dominik Mysterio via DQ after interference from JD McDonagh, setting up a tag match.
• Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh def. Je’Von Evans & Joe Hendry after McDonagh took out Hendry, allowing Mysterio to finish with a frog splash.
• Stephanie Vaquer confronted Becky Lynch backstage, telling her, “You don’t deserve the title; the title deserves me.”
• Paul Heyman was interviewed backstage about the SNME clash between Oba Femi and Bron Breakker.
• World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament Finals: Penta def. Rey Fenix with a Mexican Destroyer in a bout billed as the “TV match of the year.” Roman Reigns then came down to confront Penta before raising the title.
