WWE Raw Results: Solo Sikoa defeats Dolph Ziggler to advance in John Cena's final match tournament

The first round matches continued on WWE Raw at MSG.

Solo Sikoa made the walk for the first-round match in the ‘Last Time Is Now Tournament‘ to battle a mystery opponent. To everyone’s surprise, Dolph Ziggler, aka TNA’s Nic Nemeth, made his return as the mystery opponent to face Solo on Raw.

“LET’S GO ZIGGLER” chants erupted as the two stars kicked off the battle. Solo tried to halt Dolph’s momentum, but the former locked in a STF, forcing Sikoa to escape to the outside to regroup. Ziggler joined him to slam Solo face-first on the announce desk.

Ziggler from the top rope delivered a flying elbow, but Solo kicked out with ease. Sikoa took over during the commercials, whipping Ziggler into the corner hard and continuing the onslaught with thudding blows. Talla Tonga was keeping a close eye on the action ringside.

Solo Sikoa spoiled Dolph Ziggler’s WWE return

Back from commercials, Solo delivered a Samoan Drop, looking to pin Ziggler, who managed to kick out. Dolph escaped a hip attack to rally back in the match with a Spike DDT and a Blond Ambition.

Sikoa, out of nowhere, landed the Spinning Solo Slam to line up for the Samoan Spike, but Ziggler rolled him up and nearly got the three pin. Ziggler followed it up, hitting the Zig Zag as the crowd went wild, but Solo survived, kicking out at two.

Ziggler delivered the Superkick, but failed to follow it up with the Zig Zag as Sikao fired back with the Samoan Spike to pin Ziggler and spoil his WWE return. Solo has now advanced in John Cena’s final match tournament, joining Sheamus, Rusev, Jey Uso, and LA Knight.

Result: Solo Sikoa defeated Dolph Ziggler to advance in the tournament.
