CM Punk kicked off the show, celebrating his title win and thanking his wife, AJ Lee, and the fans. He also thanked Jey Uso for the incredible match. He also mocked Seth Rollins, warning that if he tries to get into his business again, he will put him back on the couch.

Punk stated that he wanted to be a fighting champion and punch people in the face, namely Paul Heyman, Breakker, and Reed (The Vision). He added that AJ Styles deserved the title, then brought up Dominik Mysterio, who held two titles but, in Punk’s words, did not deserve even one, saying he wanted to punch him in the face as well.

Punk went on to name JD McDonagh, Finn Balor, Sheamus, and finally his contemporary, John Cena. He declared that if Cena wanted to become an 18-time World Champion, he could come and get some, that anyone who wanted or deserved a shot could have it, because the champ was here. At that moment, Logan Paul’s music hit as the Maverick made his return.

Punk looked furious, yelling that he had spoken too soon, that he wanted to be a fighting champion, but not against him, anybody but him. Punk told Logan that blue was his brand and that he should go to SmackDown, where Ilja Dragunov was hosting a United States Title open challenge.

Logan stepped into the ring and grabbed the mic, blasting the crowd by claiming that while he was a 1,000 HP Ferrari, Punk was nothing more than a used Honda Civic. He said he had been in the ring with Roman Reigns and even AJ Styles, whom he had defeated at WrestleMania, and therefore deserved a title shot.

Paul Heyman then appeared alongside Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, announcing that they were making their way to the ring. Heyman mocked Logan, insisting that the front of the line belonged to the man who defeated Roman Reigns, the Tribal Thief Bronson Reed, and to the future of WrestleMania, Bron Breakker.

Heyman added that Logan was not even at the back of the line, he was still waiting to get in the line. The Oracle then reminded Punk that he had been champion for only two days so far, still 432 days short of Heyman’s former record, and that while Heyman never lost his title, Punk did.

When Heyman ordered Logan to step aside, Logan refused, saying he had been there first. Breakker grabbed the mic and said that he and Reed had waited patiently for the new champion to be crowned, but the Dog was not waiting anymore and was coming for what belonged to him. Breakker warned both men to get out of his ring, or he would rip them apart like a dog.

Punk told Logan either to fight with him or get the hell out of his ring. Logan wisely exited, only to come face-to-face with Reed and Breakker. Breakker shoved him away before both attacked Punk. A brawl broke out as Reed and Breakker began beating down Punk. Logan re-entered the ring, but the numbers game caught up to him, and Reed and Breakker turned their assault on Paul.

Breakker set Logan up for Reed’s Tsunami. Reed hit the Tsunami, but Punk charged back in with a steel chair, striking Reed as Breakker dodged out of the way. Reed and Breakker retreated, trying to re-enter the ring, but Punk chased them off and stood tall in the ring, holding the title high to close the segment.

Moments & Insights:

  • Despite the promo being almost half an hour long, it kept the fans engaged and capped it off with a brawl.

Nikki Bella & Stephanie Vaquer vs Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez – Tag Team match

In the first match of the show, Nikki Bella and Stephanie Vaquer joined forces against Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, who managed to isolate Nikki until a late tag to Vaquer turned the tide.

However, it all came crashing down when Vaquer attempted to deliver the Devil’s Kiss to Rodriguez on the apron, but Raquel escaped, slamming Vaquer face-first on the apron. Rodriguez sneaks in a right hand, and Perez seals the deal by delivering the Pop Rox to once again pin Bella and pick up the win.

Winner: Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez

  • Backstage, Jey Uso met up with CM Punk, stating that he wants to help him deal with The Vision. Punk accepted the offer.

Penta vs EL Grande Americano

Looking to settle the score with El Grande Americano for the attack during the number one contenders’ match two weeks ago, Penta took on the luchador who was accompanied by Rayo and Bravo Americano. In the final moments of the match, Penta stepped back onto the apron as Bravo swept his legs. Referee Jessika Carr caught him in the act and ejected him from the ringside.

On the other side, Rayo handed a metal piece to Americano, who loaded it into his mask. Rayo tried to hold Penta by the legs, but he was removed from the ringside as well. Penta then took Rayo out with a crossbody. Americano went for a flying headbutt, but Penta intercepted him with a kick and delivered the Mexican Destroyer to pin Americano and pick up the win.

Winner: Penta

Grade: B+

Match Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • After the match, Los Americanos tried to attack, but Penta evaded their strikes and managed to escape unharmed.
  • A promo aired where The Kabuki Warriors sent a warning to Bayley and Lyra Valkyria ahead of their match, later in the show.

Rey Mysterio returns & Becky Lynch’s promo

Dominik Mysterio stepped into the ring, telling the crowd to bow down to the King of Luchadores. Mysterio said that on Saturday, he proved he was without a doubt the greatest Intercontinental and AAA Mega Champion of all time, as well as the greatest Luchador in history.

He declared that no one on the planet could stop him. Suddenly, Rey Mysterio’s music hit as the veteran made his return for the first time since April. Rey stepped into the ring, stating that Dominik looked surprised before adding that while Dom could call himself the greatest Mysterio of all time, he crossed the line when he claimed to be the greatest Luchador of all time.

Rey continued, saying that every time Dominik said that, he insulted their family and their bloodline. Rey then mentioned legends like El Santo, Blue Demon, and Eddie Guerrero, asking if Dominik really believed he was better than them. Dominik told Rey to keep his father’s name out of his mouth, insisting that yes, he was better than everyone, and pointing out that Rey hadn’t even mentioned himself.

Rey fired back, saying he would let Dom disrespect Lucha Libre, prompting Dominik to ask what Rey was going to do about it. Dom accused Rey of being jealous, claiming that Rey had even stolen his mustache. Dominik bragged that he had surpassed everything Rey had accomplished in every way possible and asked if he needed to kick his father’s ass again.

He told Rey to listen to the King of Luchadores and get out of his ring. Rey said he would leave, but Dominik needed to understand three things: he would never be the King of Luchadores; as long as Rey was around, the ring would never belong to him; and as long as Rey was around, Dominik would never be the greatest Mysterio.

Dominik tried to sneak in a right hand, but Rey intercepted him. A brawl broke out as Rey set up for the 619, hit it, and went for the Frog Splash, but Dominik escaped before Rey could land it.

Becky Lynch cut off the commentary, climbing onto the desk with a mic in her hand. Lynch said that she had a hot husband injured at home and that The Vision had lost their genie. She then blasted the crooked referee (Jessika Carr) who, according to her, was determined to hold her down, and added that on top of that, General Manager Adam Pearce had sent her home to cool off.

Lynch turned her attention to the New Mexico crowd, criticizing them before shifting her focus to Maxxine Dupri. She said that Dupri did not belong in the business and that survival in this industry came not from luck but from skill, and that she was the best. Becky warned Dupri about their next encounter, saying that a single mistake would cost her everything.

Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • The crowd was heavily interested in the two Mysterios’ promo battle, WWE reviving the feud ahead of Survivor Series, which hints at another clash between the two.
  • Backstage, Lyra tried to get on the same page with Bayley before their match against The Kabuki Warriors that night, but Bayley refused to discuss anything.

Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) – Tag Team match

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria started the match with an onslaught on Kairi Sane and Asuka. However, Asuka and Sane slowly took over, negating the early advantage. Lyra, after a while, managed to tag in Bayley, who delivered a vicious elbow drop on Asuka for a near pinfall. After a blind tag, Sane struck Bayley with a forearm from the apron. Bayley managed to regroup and hit a Bayley-to-Belly, for another near pin.

In the closing moments, Bayley delivered a backbreaker and followed with a flying elbow on Sane, but Asuka pulled her out of the ring. Lyra took out Asuka before tagging back in, only for Asuka to trip her, allowing Sane to drag her into their corner and tag Asuka.

Asuka went for the Insane Elbow, but Bayley shoved Sane off the top rope. Asuka pushed Lyra into Bayley, and when Lyra tried to recover, she fell right into the Asuka Lock. With no escape, Valkyria tapped out, giving The Kabuki Warriors the win. After the match, Asuka and Sane surrounded Lyra, but Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss rushed into the ring to make the save, forcing Asuka and Sane to retreat.

Winner: The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane)

Grade: B+

Match Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • Raquel and Roxanne were celebrating in the Judgment Day clubhouse after Rodriguez secured a title match against Stephanie Vaquer for next week. Dominik Mysterio barged in, complaining that his dad had focused on him and Balor, and JD didn’t show up for him. Balor told him that if he wanted their support, he should have invited them instead of hogging the spotlight, and now they needed to win their tag titles back. Balor handed him the shillelagh for safekeeping, leaving Dom confused about why everyone was upset. Raquel blamed him for their tag title loss, but Roxanne offered some wisdom, saying someone had to make the first move, and he should go be in their corner and help out.

AJ Styles & Dragon Lee (c) vs Finn Balor & JD McDonagh – World Tag Team titles match

Finn Balor and JD McDonagh turned up the beat as the bell rang, attacking the Champion and taking control early, using quick tags. Dominik Mysterio appeared during the commercials and then tried to get involved, while Balor attempted Coup De Grace on Styles, who escaped, leading Balor to accidentally hit McDonagh.

Balor asked Dominik to hit Styles with the title, but Sheamus appeared to take out Mysterio. Balor took advantage, attacking Styles with the Shellaleigh. Lee broke up the pin and then took out Balor with a hurricanrana and followed it with a dive over the ropes. Back in the ring, Styles hit the Styles Clash on McDonagh to secure the pin and retain the World Tag Team titles.

Winner & Still: AJ Styles & Dragon Lee

Grade: B

Match Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • Backstage, Nikki Bella apologized to Stephanie Vaquer for their loss in the tag team match earlier that night and wondered why she had even returned to WWE. Stephanie reassured Nikki, telling her that she was one of the women who had paved the way in the business and that she absolutely deserved to be there.
  • In another segment, Paul Heyman was puzzled about why Jey Uso would team with the man he had lost the title to, but Uso insisted that Punk had faced him one-on-one, fair and square. Heyman began to argue that Roman Reigns would have, only for Jey to cut him off, saying he only cared about what he himself would do. Heyman explained that he had asked the Brons to wait, but now the leashes were off, and anyone who didn’t fall in line with The Vision would be dealt with immediately. He added that it wasn’t like the old days with endless second chances; now people got their asses handed to them at the door, and he liked it that way.

CM Punk & Jey Uso vs Bron Breaker & Bronson Reed

In the main event of the show, the team of CM Punk and Jey Uso battled The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in a tag team match. The back-and-forth continues with Punk and Jey seemingly in control; however, in a sequence outside the ring where Jey took out Breakker and Reed, the referee count reached ten, ending the match in a double count-out.

Chaos erupted as Jey sent Breakker crashing into the steel steps. Punk cleared out the announce desk and placed Reed on the table, but Breakker returned, taking out Jey with a vicious spear. Punk attacked Breakker while Reed smashed Punk into the barricade, sending him into the timekeeper’s area.

Breakker and Reed dragged Jey back into the ring, with Breakker hitting a devastating spear and Reed climbing to the top rope to deliver a Tsunami. Punk darted in with a steel chair, forcing the two to retreat before they grabbed chairs of their own. Logan Paul arrived, brass knuckles in hand, but instead knocked out Punk.

Heyman intervened to stop Breakker and Reed as Paul faced them again. Heyman warned Logan, who removed the brass knuckles and handed them to Heyman as deafening “F*CK YOU LOGAN” chants filled the arena.

Result: Double count-out
