Update on WrestleMania 42
According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE will officially announce the 2026 edition of WrestleMania as taking place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA, before this year’s event. The report further adds that the venue has been confirmed for months.
The 2025 edition of WrestleMania is set for April 19 and 20, 2025, and will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, USA.
New WWE Championship & R-Truth’s transfer
WWE recently announced the launch of a new show called, Evolve “which will showcase in-ring action featuring rising WWE prospects as they wrestle with the dream of making it to NXT and, perhaps, one day to SmackDown and Raw.”
The show is set to premiere on March 5, exclusively on Tubi, with new episodes dropping each week on Wednesdays. According to PWInsider Elite, an Evolve Championship has already been made, and is expected to be unveiled during upcoming TV tapings.
R-Truth has been a staple of WWE programming for years now and has been one of the top names in the promotions for a while. While Truth has been featured on both Raw and SmackDown in recent weeks, he has been a part of Monday Night Raw.
However, according to PWInsider, R-Truth has been moved to Friday Night SmackDown joining the list of stars who have switched brands during the transfer window. The reports suggest that the promotion is yet to announce the move.
Update on Karl Anderson
Karl Anderson was part of the recent layoffs by the Stamford-based promotion, Anderson along with his tag team partner Luke Gallows were released from their contract by the WWE. This was the second time Anderson was released by the promotion, his second run lasted just over two years.
According to Fightful, Anderson on February 12 filed to trademark the terms ‘Automatic’ and ‘AKA’ for entertainment purposes.
Joe Tessitore’s absence on tonight’s SmackDown
It looks like Joe Tessitore will miss tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown which will emanate from the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, USA.
According to Top Rank Boxing, Tessitore is set to call their event tonight on ESPN which likely means that someone will be filling in for the voice of the Blue brand tonight in Washington.
Demolition signs WWE Legends deal
According to PWInsider, three-time WWF World Tag Team Champions, Demolition (Ax & Smash) have signed Legends contracts with the WWE. The new deal has brought the two veterans back into the company after years of absence.
The promotion has also added the tag team to their alumni page describing their streak of dominance, their impact on the tag team division, and their legacy as one of the best tag teams in the Stamford-based promotion.
