Let’s discuss the latest rumors making the rounds among fans on social media!

Speculations and rumors are among some of the favorite pastimes for WWE fans worldwide. Fans from all over the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the world of pro wrestling. In the aftermath of WrestleMania 41, the rumor mill continues to run in full force.

In today’s edition of the roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media, including Karrion Kross’ new contract, more on Travis Scott fallout, Cody Rhodes’ filming schedule, Austin Theory’s absence, and more.

Karrion Kross’ new contract

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has offered Karrion Kross a new contract. Meltzer mentioned he doesn’t anticipate Karrion Kross leaving WWE, suggesting the company might be handling the situation like they did with R-Truth’s real departure and unexpected return earlier this year.

“I think the Karrion Kross thing smells like an angle…They plugged his book and then Paul Heyman today on Ariel Helwani’s show talked about him being like this new Steve Austin, so it’s like he ain’t going anywhere. But I was told the story about him not being signed to a contract, I heard that is legit, but he did get an offer. Maybe when the story that he didn’t get an offer was written it was accurate, but I was told he’s gotten an offer and I don’t expect him going anywhere,

It was almost like the way this whole thing went down that I was thinking the R-Truth thing was a shoot and it did so well that it’s like maybe we can work everyone with another R-Truth story…They’re gonna work and work and work because they think that’s the deal. People got mad at me for even suggesting this, but the amount of distrust that will be there six months from now is pretty damn high.” Meltzer said.

Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s contract is set to expire this week, and the two stars didn’t make an appearance on this week’s Raw.

More on Travis Scott fallout

During the appearance, Heyman also revealed that there was a planned payoff to the Travis Scott – The Rock angle. “There was. It fell apart and we moved forward without it.”

When asked about rumors that Scott made people in the WWE angry and if he would be back at any point, the Oracle said,

“I don’t know if he’s done. Any meeting that I was in that involved Travis Scott, I got along with him fine. Have I heard things? I have. Do I know the accuracy of it? Haven’t heard Travis’ version of it. Like his music, like his taste in women that he has children with, wish I was dating one of those sisters. I’m not, he was married to one. He’s doing better in his personal life than I am.”

Heyman also commented on The Rock’s absence from WrestleMania 41,

“I don’t know what happened with Dwayne. That’s something you should have Dwayne come into these beautiful Yahoo studios and answer for himself. I don’t know. Or have Brian Gerwitz come in and I’m sure he can tell you their side of the story, I don’t know.

Especially WrestleMania, I had enough on my plate, I wasn’t really concerned with what happened with Cody Rhodes and John Cena’s storyline.”

Cody Rhodes’ Street Fighter filming schedule

According to a new report from PWInsider, production for the Street Fighter movie is scheduled to begin in September, with Reigns reportedly committed to a four-week shoot. His involvement is expected to start on September 2nd and wrap up sometime during the week of September 26th, assuming everything stays on schedule.

The report also mentions that WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will also appear in the film, though his time on set is expected to be shorter than Reigns’.

Austin Theory’s absence & WWE ESPN deal

PW Insider Elite reported that Austin Theory was removed from WWE’s internal roster following his split with Grayson Waller.

Following the report, Fightful Select provided an update confirming that Theory is still placed on WWE’s internal list under the injured section, joining others such as Zoey Stark and Ilja Dragunov.

Wrestlenomics reported that under WWE’s new PLE deal with ESPN, only customers of select cable providers will receive access to the new ESPN streaming service for free.

However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer added that while this may be accurate for now, “many, if not most, of those listed as not getting it for free will have it for free at launch. Deals just haven’t been cut.”

WWE Speed

Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that no new matches or episodes have been taped for WWE Speed. The report also added that the deal with X (Twitter) probably expired, and whether it will be renewed or brought back isn’t clear.

The official Speed account on X has been inactive since February, with new episodes previously shared on WWE’s main account and then reposted on X/WWE_Speed.
