According to the outlet, Femi’s decision to brush Reed’s foot off his back was not part of the planned script and caught several people backstage by surprise. WrestleVotes noted that multiple personnel noticed the moment, with some unhappy about what happened.
However, it remains unclear whether the backstage criticism was aimed at Bronson placing his foot on Oba, Oba knocking it off, or both actions.
Triplemania 34
Lucha Libre AAA, working alongside WWE, is set to present the 34th edition of TripleMania, which will take place over two nights.
Night 1 is scheduled for Friday, September 11, 2026, at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada, while Night 2 will take place on Sunday, September 13, at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.
Per WrestleVotes, there is considerable excitement backstage ahead of the upcoming PLE, with several “unexpected elements” in store for fans.

TKO COO Mark Shapiro, in response to a question about the factors behind TKO’s expected revenue growth during the second half of the year, revealed at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference that the Stamford-based promotion is currently in talks with Disney about hosting several special events next year.
Shapiro said the Stamford-based promotion is exploring ways to expand its existing partnership with The Walt Disney Company. The partnership with Disney began with the ESPN PLE deal.
A source told WrestleVotes that WWE’s interest in partnering with Disney predates its current agreement with ESPN, indicating that the promotion has been working to establish a relationship with Disney for some time.
One idea being discussed would see the promotion utilize the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando for “events, festivals, and larger fan experiences.”
The talks have also explored creating a WWE-themed concept similar to ESPN Fan House, along with opportunities for WWE talents to make appearances on Disney+ programming.
Counterprogramming AEW All Out
WWE and AAA are set to deliver Worlds Collide from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The show will go head-to-head with AEW All Out, which takes place at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
According to an earlier report from Self Made Pro, the Stamford-based promotion is positioning Worlds Collide against AEW as part of an effort to demonstrate that AAA can draw an audience while airing opposite the No. 2 wrestling promotion, potentially strengthening its case for securing a television deal.
WrestleVotes now reports that WWE chose an 8 p.m. ET start time for Worlds Collide in an effort to “directly compete” with AEW All Out, with both events taking place in the Chicago area on September 26.
