Goldberg’s legendary wrestling career came to a close at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in his adopted hometown of Atlanta. Facing World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in the main event, the Hall of Famer fell short in a hard-hitting clash. Though the live crowd gave him a standing ovation, Goldberg’s farewell didn’t go as planned on live television.

The former WCW icon addressed the abrupt ending during a candid interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, revealing that his post-match speech was cut off just 30 seconds in.

“Let’s just say I’m pissed off at the way I went out,” Goldberg admitted. They cut me off 30 seconds into my speech, bro. You don’t do that. But it’s all good.”

The promotion has now responded to Goldberg’s claims. According to Fightful Select, the promotion responded to the Hall of Famer’s claims of having his retirement speech cut off by saying it was not done intentionally, as they simply ran out of time for the live broadcast.

Cory Hay, in a post on X (Twitter), questioned what happened to Travis Scott’s in-ring plans and the supposed tag team match with John Cena.

“Wonder what happened with WWE and Travis Scott. He hasn’t been mentioned at all. He was looking to work a match with Cena and that doesn’t look to be happening. And he was supposed to be the celebrity for 2K25 and that’s not happening either since it got replaced by El Grande Americano.”

Responding to the tweet, TC at WrestleVotes responded, claiming that Scott was “not a quick learner for the business,” which is the reason why we haven’t seen him more of late.
