The WWE universe saw the inaugural Women’s United States Champion
History was made at Saturday Night’s Main Event as Chelsea Green faced Michin to crown the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion. Jessika Carr officiated this groundbreaking match.
The bell rang and Michin quickly evaded Chelsea Green’s opening attack, showcasing her agility. Green retaliated with trash talk but was met with a snapmare and rear chin lock from Michin.
A series of arm drags followed as Michin controlled the early portion of the match. However, Green managed to dodge a third arm drag and slapped Michin across the face before sending her out of the ring.
Outside the ring, Piper Niven lurked ominously. Michin attempted to maintain her momentum by countering Chelsea Green’s tope suicida with a punch and applying a modified tarantula over the ropes. But Green distracted the referee, allowing Niven to viciously slam Michin onto the floor.
After the break, the tide turned as Michin countered Green’s Rough Ryder attempt with a powerbomb, followed by a release German Suplex and a tornado DDT for a near fall.
Michin looked to finish things with Eat Defeat, but Green escaped and attempted Un-Pretty-Her. The exchange ended with Green hitting a Rough Ryder for a close two-count.
The match spilled outside again, where Michin executed a stunning cannonball off the apron, taking out both Green and Niven. Michin then delivered Eat Defeat to Niven on the floor, neutralizing the powerhouse. Fired up, Michin rolled Green back into the ring, narrowly missing a pinfall after a less-than-perfect Eat Defeat.
As the crowd chanted for Chelsea, Green showed her resilience. Michin placed Green on the top rope and rocked her with slaps, but Niven jumped onto the apron to distract her.
Michin knocked Niven down, but the momentary lapse gave Green the opening she needed. With a creative counter, Green flipped off the second rope into her signature Un-Pretty-Her, securing the victory and making history as the first-ever Women’s United States Champion!
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis presented Chelsea Green with the title as pyrotechnics lit up the arena. Piper Niven hoisted Green onto her shoulders, celebrating a monumental achievement for the self-proclaimed “most beautiful champion.”
