WWE SmackDown tonight takes over Mexico City.
Tonight’s WWE SmackDown airs live from the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. The show will mark WWE’s return to Mexico for the first time in 15 years. The venue will also host Night 2 of TripleMania 34 as well as the September 14 edition of Raw.
WWE has announced a stacked lineup for the historic show featuring top names, four title matches, with two being for the World titles, and a major grudge match. The fallout from Sunday Night’s Main Event will also be addressed on the show.
Speaking of the fallout from SNME, Cody Rhodes is confirmed to appear after suffering defeat in his WrestleMania 42 rematch against Randy Orton at last week’s SNME.
Regarding the World title matches, CM Punk will defend the Undisputed title against Sami Zayn, while Interim WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green defends the title for the first time against Nia Jax, after getting medical clearance last week.
Two more title matches are set for the show, where Rey Fenix defends the AAA World Cruiserweight title against Ricky Saints, while AAA Tag Team Champions War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) battle Damian Priest & R-Truth with the title on the line.
Additionally, Nikki Bella and Paige will settle their dispute inside the squared circle. The Bella Twins turned on Paige at SummerSlam, and with Nikki’s return two weeks ago, the feud was revived, leading to the clash between the two this Friday.
