SummerSlam go-home show of SmackDown featured explosive segments.
The SummerSlam go-home show of SmackDown concluded on July 31, 2026, from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The show featured final face-offs before the two-night spectacle this weekend in Minneapolis.
The title vs title match between WWE Tag Team Champions R-Truth and Damian Priest and AAA World Tag Team Champions the War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) ended in a DQ as Talla and Tama Tonga, accompanied by Haku, attacked them.
On the other hand, Rey Fenix defeated JD McDonagh to retain the AAA Cruiserweight title with little help from Danhausen and Minihausens. Meanwhile, Lash Legend defeated Giulia to secure the final spot in the Interim Women’s title ladder match at SummerSlam.
CM Punk and Cody Rhodes closed out the show with a massive brawl. The two will collide for the Undisputed title on Night 1 (Saturday) of SummerSlam.
Charlotte Flair is looking for payback
The go-home show also featured another brawl between Charlotte Flair and Jade Cargill, as despite the loss, Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton took out B-Fab and Michin to even the odds for Flair, who stood tall after taking down Jade with a big boot.
Flair has been looking for some payback on Jade after she brutally attacked and injured her tag partner, Alexa Bliss. In a social media exclusive posted after SmackDown, Flair met with acting GM Adam Pearce, stating that getting her hands on Jade in the ladder match isn’t enough.
Flair added that she doesn’t care who walks out as the interim Champion in Minneapolis; she wants to take on Jade in a one-on-one match. Pearce offered a match for next week, to which Flair agreed, making the showdown official.
The August 7 edition of WWE SmackDown will air live from the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Next week’s show will feature the aftermath from SummerSlam.
Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, CM Punk, Gunther and Trick Williams are listed as featured superstars for next week’s show.
