WWE SmackDown (June 12, 2026): King & Queen of the Ring tournament continues; Jey Uso & Charlotte Flair in action & more set for next week

WWE addressed the fallout from the Clash in Italy in Bologna.
WWE addressed the aftermath of Clash in Italy on the June 5 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, which emanated from the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy. The show also continued the King and Queen of the Ring tournament, which kicked off on Raw this past Monday.
Raquel Rodriguez and Dominik Mysterio of the Judgement Day won the respective first-round matches for the King and Queen of the Ring tournament. Rodriguez will now face Iyo Sky in the semi-finals, while Mysterio will battle Oba Femi in the semi-finals.
The show also featured a brawl between Cody Rhodes and Gunther, with the latter demanding a rematch. Sami Zayn, this time around, aided Rhodes, but it backfired on him as Gunther pulled Sami in front of Cody, who came diving in from the ropes. It was also revealed during the show that WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley is dealing with an injury.

WWE will return to the United States next week, before travelling back to Europe ahead of Night of Champions PLE later this month. The June 12 edition of WWE SmackDown will air live from the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island.
WWE is also expected to kick off the build towards the upcoming Night of Champions, which is set for June 27, 2026, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Drew McIntyre, Jade Cargill, Randy Orton, and Sami Zayn are listed as featured superstars. As announced by GM Nick Aldis, Gunther will reveal his condition for the Clash in Italy title rematch against Cody Rhodes.
In the fourth and final first-round matches of the King & Queen of the Ring tournament, Jey Uso, LA Knight, Royce Keys, and Finn Balor, while on the women’s side, Sol Ruca, Lyra Valkyria, Charlotte Flair, and Jade Cargill will battle to secure a spot in the semi-finals.
