SmackDown is emanating from Bologna.

The historic first Premium Live Event (PLE) in Italy, Clash in Italy, concluded last weekend in Turin. WWE delivered the fallout edition of Raw this past Monday and is now addressing the fallout on the Friday Night SmackDown brand, which is currently underway (from 8 PM CEST).

Tonight’s fallout edition of the Blue brand is emanating live from the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy. Notably, this is the final SmackDown show of this leg of the European tour, as WWE will return to the U.S. next week before heading back to Europe for live events and TV shows ahead of Night of Champions in late June.

The 2026 King and Queen of the Ring tournament, which kicked off on Raw this past Monday, is continuing tonight, with two first-round matches. WWE is also addressing the fallout from the Clash in Italy, which saw Cody Rhodes defeat Gunther to retain the title, while Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to retain the title.

  • Gunther appeared during the opening moments, cutting off the broadcast and creating mayhem, ripping off both the announce desks, before picking up the mic to state that nothing will happen tonight until he gets justice for what happened at Clash in Italy. Gunther claimed Cody Rhodes cheated to win. Cody Rhodes then appeared, as Gunther continued jogging around on the announce desk.
    • Rhodes stepped into the ring, acknowledging that Gunther was right, his foot was under the rope, but asked if he really didn’t have any controversial finishes in his career. Cody suggested a rematch to Gunther, right in Bologna. AND Sami Zayn arrived.
    • Sami blasted Gunther and his complaints. Zayn complained that both of them wronged him, but Gunther asked him to shut up, as the Championship didn’t concern me. Sami reminded Gunther that he had beaten him. Cody said he’s preoccupied, and Sami complained about their friendship and Cody’s neglect. Sami pointed out that he might be the biggest threat to Cody’s reign.
    • The two argued about settling things as Gunther attacked Cody, locking in the sleeper, but this time, Sami saved Cody, attacking Gunther, Cody joined in, and the brawl escalated ringside, with Cody taking a dive and Gunther shoving Sami in Cody’s way. Gunther escaped as Cody tried to apologize, offering a hand, but Sami left him hanging.
  • Backstage, The Miz argued on the phone with Kit Wilson about being stuck in customs. The Miz discovered Danhausen stealing electricity once again for his experiments. Miz entered the lab to take care of it, as Danhausen appeared, telling Miz not to touch his things. Miz started touching things, despite Danhausen’s reluctance, and was electrocuted.
  • Backstage, Gunther complained to GM Nick Aldis about not being treated with respect since his arrival on SmackDown. Gunther warned him about getting his legal team involved.
  • QOTR first-round match – Bayley vs Raquel Rodriguez vs Jacy Jayne vs Kiana James (Winner will face Iyo Sky): Raquel Rodriguez delivered the Tahana Bomb on Kiana James to secure the win and advance to the semi-finals. The communication breakdown between James and Giulia continued after the match as James shoved Giulia, who lost her cool and attacked James.
  • Backstage, Sami Zayn found Johnny Gargano and complained about things blowing back in his face with Cody, and now Nick Aldis wanted to talk to him. Aldis arrived, asking him to stay out of Cody-Gunther’s business. Sami complained, and Aldis stated that he had someone important to meet, who turned out to be Chad Gable, the “ORIGINAL” El Grande Americano, who appeared to a massive pop.
  • Royce Keys vs Talla Tonga:
