The go-home show of SmackDown this week featured a massive change.
The February 27 episode of WWE SmackDown took place at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The February 27 edition served as the go-home show for the upcoming Elimination Chamber 2026 and featured the final face-offs ahead of the PLE.
After Jey Uso was attacked before the show went live, he was pulled from the men’s Chamber match and Jacob Fatu battled Logan Paul in the main event for the empty spot. Logan was able to unmask the Masked Man and defeat Fatu with the help of Drew McIntyre.
On the other hand, Uncle Howdy pinned Solo Sikoa, while Tiffany Stratton defeated Kairi Sane in an impromptu match. Oba Femi defeated The Miz, while Carmelo Hayes retained over Matt Cardona who answered the US title open challenge.
Furthermore, Jordynne Grace pinned Candice LeRae. Additionally, The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend) defeated RHIYO (Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky) to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
The Elimination Chamber fallout show will emanate from Oregon

During this week’s SmackDown in Louisville, the MFTs caught up with GM Nick Aldis backstage. Solo Sikoa voiced his frustration about the Wyatts targeting them week after week. Aldis, however, reminded him that it had been the other way around and they had been more focused on attacking the Wyatts than actually defending their tag team titles.
The GM Aldis then announced that a number one contender would be crowned in a match next week. However, Aldis didn’t announce the contenders for the number one contenders’ match.
After their win over Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky, Nia Jax and Lash Legend captured the Women’s Tag Team titles. Cathy Kelley interviewed The Irresistible Forces backstage.
Jax wished anyone trying to take their titles the best of luck, while Lash Legend proclaimed that this was just the first of many championships. Legend added that they would be celebrating their title victory next, and that Kelley was not invited.
During the men’s Elimination Chamber match at the namesake PLE in Chicago, Drew McIntyre once again interfered, attacking Cody Rhodes. Randy Orton capitalized on RKOing Drew and then Cody to win the Chamber match and confirm his ticket to Mania.
However, GM Nick Aldis was frustrated as he warned Drew to stay out of the match. Aldis, during the post-show, announced that Drew will defend the Undisputed title against Rhodes on the fallout show of SmackDown, adding intrigue to the show for fans.
During the March 2 fallout episode of Raw, Rhea Ripley vowed to win the title for Iyo Sky and announced that on Friday she will see Jade Cargill face-to-face and come WrestleMania, she is going to leave as the new WWE Women’s Champion.
The March 6 episode of WWE SmackDown will take place live from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The show will serve as the fallout show from the 2026 Elimination Chamber and will feature the aftermath from the show, where the number one contenders for the Undisputed and the Women’s title were finalized.
