The October 31 episode of SmackDown emanated from Utah.

The October 31 episode of Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The episode served as the go-home show for the November 1 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event

In the opening segment of the show, Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill engaged in a war of words, which almost turned into another brawl as security intervened. Ilja Dragunov continued the US title open challenge, defeating Nathan Frazer to retain the title.

On the other hand, Carmelo Hayes defeated Kit Wilson, despite interference from The Miz, who attacked him after the match. Alexa Bliss managed to pin Nia Jax with the help of Charlotte Flair, despite taking heavy punishment.

Furthermore, MFTs (JC Mateo & Tama Tonga) defeated Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) in a tag team match, while the contract signing between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre ended in a brawl with McIntyre winding up on top, slamming Rhodes through a table.

During the October 31 show, the promotion announced multiple matches for next week’s show. Following the interference in the match between Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax, Charlotte Flair is now set to take on Jax in a singles match next week.

During a backstage segment, the MFTs ran into Rey Fenix. Solo Sikoa asked if Fenix wanted to fight, but Fenix said he didn’t, prompting Solo to tell him to go “trick or treat or something.” Fenix then climbed onto a production crate to call out Talla Tonga, declaring he wanted a match with him.

Sikoa warned that it was basically his funeral, as Fenix slapped Tanga, which made Tonga angry. Solo stepped in, telling Tonga to calm down and focus on tonight, assuring him he could deal with Fenix next week. The promotion made the match official later in the show.

Furthermore, Ilja Dragunov, after another successful title defense this week, will continue the United States title open challenge on next week’s show.

In another segment during the show, Chelsea Green complained that Giulia was close to breaking her record as the longest reigning Women’s United States Champion and demanded a match. Giulia agreed, and GM Nick Aldis officially scheduled it for next week. The promotion, however, did not confirm it during the show with a match graphic.

The November 7 episode of WWE SmackDown is set to air live from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. The episode will serve as the fallout show for the November 1 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
