Tonight’s SmackDown emanates from Kentucky.
WWE SmackDown returns tonight with a major edition in the lead-up to two back-to-back events this month. The May 22, 2026, edition will air live from the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, serving as the final episode before the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV on May 23.
Notably, next week WWE will travel to Europe for the Clash in Italy PLE, for which the promotion has started to announce matches. Tonight’s show is expected to feature the final showdowns between stars set to collide at SNME, while building towards Clash in Italy.
Tonight’s show could turn out to be a crucial edition with multiple feuds taking shape before the two events. Let us now take a look at the four potential spoilers that might be in store for WWE fans tonight.
4. Carmelo Hayes challenges Trick Williams

During last week’s show, Carmelo Hayes secured a hard-fought victory against Ricky Saints. With the performance, Hayes has put himself back as one of the top contenders and might want to regain the United States title.
Hayes could challenge Trick Williams for the title, and with a long history between the two, WWE will have no problem building for the match.

3. Fatal Influence aid Jade Cargill & Co.

What transpired in Rhea Ripley‘s absence last week might unravel once again this week as Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab will likely once again try to ambush Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss. While Rhea’s presence will likely even the numbers game.
However, an unlikely alliance might transpire with Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) aiding Cargill and Co. against Rhea, Flair, and Bliss. Since their debut, they have made it clear that they will not hesitate in targeting the big dogs, and another attack might lead to multiple matches involving the faction.
2. Solo Sikoa retaliates
Last week, Solo Sikoa once again tried to help Royce Keys and convince him to join the MFTs. Sikoa interfered during the WWE title number one contenders match, where Royce was taking on Gunther. Sikoa threw in a steel chair, signalling for Keys to use it to secure the win.
However, Keys threw the steel chair as it went crashing into Sikoa’s face, and he subsequently fell down the apron. Keys turning down another offer from Solo, for the nth time, is surely going to irk Sikoa, who will likely be tired of the disrespect, and we might see the MFTs and Solo attack Keys tonight.
1. Blake Monroe debuts

‘The Glamour’ Blake Monroe has been absent from WWE programming in the lead-up to her highly-teased and awaited debut on SmackDown. While WWE has not revealed a debut date for Monroe, reports have hinted at her debut in the final weeks of May.
Monroe already took part in a dark match last week, and reports have confirmed that she will be travelling with the crew tonight. While her debut isn’t confirmed, WWE might pull the trigger and use her debut to set up a potential showdown with Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton at Clash in Italy.
