WWE SmackDown Results & Winners
A roaring Barcelona crowd welcomes WWE

- Jade Cargill vs Alexa Bliss: SmackDown kicked off with thunderous applause from Barcelona fans as Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore recapped the happenings of last week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. Jade Cargill, along with B-Fab and Michin, opened the show, drawing loud boos, until Rhea Ripley arrived and engaged in a promo battle ahead of their title match.
- Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss joined in, with Alexa getting into an argument with Cargill. GM Nick Aldis then arrived, announcing a match between the two. Cargill pinned Bliss as Flair and Rhea brawled from the ring to backstage with Michin and B-Fab. After the match, Jade brought out a steel chair, planting Alexa with the Jaded. Rhea and Flair arrived too late for the save.
- Backstage, Sami Zayn interrupted Cody Rhodes’ interview with Cathy Kelly and asked if Cody had anything to say to him. Cody said he doesn’t, and Sami asked him to apologize. The two argued their case as Zayn stated that he let Gunther choke Cody out to teach him a lesson, and Cody responded with a warning that when he’s done with Gunther, he might teach Sami a lesson.
- Axiom vs The Miz: Backstage, GM Nick Aldis apologized to Danhausen that his equipment hadn’t arrived, while Miz arrived, asking Aldis to cancel his match as Kit Wilson got held up in customs. Danhausen was stealing stuff in the background, and Aldis refused to cancel the match. Axiomed picked up the win against the Miz in front of his home fans, in part due to the flickering lights (it’s the curse).
- Backstage, R-Truth informed Damian Priest that he is still not medically cleared and informed Priest that he will be teaming up with Royce Keys. Priest and Keys argued about teaming up, and Truth baits them into accepting the team-up.
- In another segment, Sami Zayn complained about Cody to Johnny Gargano as Matt Cardona asked if he’s okay, Sami asks if Cody sent him, Cardona said that things haven’t been going his way as well, but he’s not being a b**ch about it. Sami loses his calm and then challenges Matt to a match. Cardona left to talk to Nick Aldis.
- Backstage, Charlotte Flair consoled Alexa Bliss after the loss, while the medical staff checked on her. Rhea Ripley arrived to ask how Alexa is. Flair said that she’s pissed off, and Ripley asked her not to worry about Jade; she will take care of her. Flair responded that if Rhea doesn’t, she will.
- Damian Priest & Royce Keys vs The MFTs (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga) in a tag team match: Solo Sikoa interfered in the match, and R-Truth arrived to even the odds, but failed. Keys stopped Solo from taking out Truth ringside. Meanwhile, back in the ring, Talla chokeslammed Priest to pick up the win.
- Backstage, The Miz complained to Nick Aldis about losing the match due to the power issues. The two found out that Danhausen was continuing his experiments in the lab, and Miz went to confront Danhausen, who used the fire extinguisher.
- WWE announced that Cody Rhodes vs Gunther will open the show at Clash in Italy. Backstage, Chelsea Green met with Tiffany Stratton, asking her to be ringside for her match against Nia Jax. Stratton refused the offer, despite Green reminding her of the save against Lash Legend and Nia Jax last week.
- Sami Zayn vs Matt Cardona: Sami Zayn received a surprisingly strong reaction from the crowd in Barcelona, while the fans were evenly divided between cheering for him and Cardona. Zayn delivered the helluva kick to edge out Cardona in an incredible showdown and pick up the win.
- WWE played a hype reel for the King & Queen of the Ring tournament, highlighting the history of the tournament. Backstage, Nick Aldis asked Gunther to be civil tonight. Gunther stated that he will only attack Cody verbally and asked Aldis to visit Madrid the next time instead of Barcelona when they’re in Spain.
- Trick Williams declared himself for the King of the Ring Tournament. Carmelo Hayes interrupted, stating that tonight he will take care of Ricky Saints, and then they will run it back for the US title. Ricky Saints then appeared, stating that the fans want to see him, not them, and staking his claim for a shot at the US title. Williams fired back, nailing him with the mic as Lil Yachty pulled Trick away from Hayes.
- Carmelo Hayes vs Ricky Saints: The match began as Saints was still feeling the effects of the mic shot. Hayes capitalized early, but Rikcy fought his way back, looking to secure the win. After multiple close pins, the two continued fighting outside, but failed to get back into the ring in time as the match ended in a double count-out. Ricky attacked Hayes after the match, but Carmelo fired back with the First 48.
- Backstage, Nia Jax & Lash Legend caught up with Tiffany Stratton, stating that it was the right decision not to corner Chelsea Green. Legend added that it’s only a matter of time before the US title finds a new home.
- A promo aired where Blake Monroe said that she was coming to SmackDown, despite the appearance last week. Anywho, Monroe called out Rhea Ripley.
- Chelsea Green vs Nia Jax: Green made her in-ring return for the first time since early February. The commentary noted that it was Jax’s birthday, and the birthday girl started ragdolling Green as soon as the bell rang. Legend interfered in the match as Green fought back but fell prey to a Samoan Drop by Nia. Tiffany Stratton then appeared, nailing Jax with the title as Green picked up the win via a roll-up.
- Backstage, Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) crashed Paige and Brie Bella’s interview. Jacy Jayne declared herself for the Queen of the Ring Tournament, while Henley and Reid warned Paige and Bella that they’re coming for the tag titles.
- Cody Rhodes-Gunther face-off before Clash in Italy: Cody Rhodes walked out first, and Gunther interrupted his promo. Gunther stated that SmackDown has to be all about Cody, and if it isn’t, Cody finds a way to make it about himself. He called Cody the perfect example of the crumbling American Dream, and while he has earned the position he’s in, for Cody, everything’s one phone call away.
- Gunther stated that he needed to protect the sport from people like Cody Rhodes, who is just a mark for himself. Rhodes fired back, calling Gunther a liar, asking if he doesn’t want the attention that comes with being the Champion. Cody added that he knows Gunther wanted it, otherwise he would be talking to a 330-pound version of Gunther at some indie show.
- Cody added that Gunther will find out on Sunday that he is just not that good, as he is easy to find, hard to beat. Rhodes went to leave as Gunther pulled him back, asking if Cody thought he is a liar, noting how he promised that he would choke out Goldberg, AJ Styles, and John Cena, and he did.
- Gunther then promised Cody that he would choke him out and take the precious prize. Gunther exited the ring, while Cody looked on as the go-home show came to a close.
