An eventful SmackDown episode went down last night.
The October 23 episode of the blue brand featured several high-profile matches, including Chelsea Green defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez, Giulia facing Blake Monroe in a Street Fight, and Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley putting their Women’s Tag Team Championships on the line against Michin and B-Fab.
The men’s division also had two big matches, including a six-man tag team match-up – Sami Zayn, Ricky Saints, and Johnny Gargano against Trick Williams, Penta, and Rey Fenix. The other tag team match between MFTs and Bakusai didn’t materialize due to disqualification early in the match.
In this series of events, one wrestler created history, lifting a championship after spending nearly eight years in the Stamford-based promotion.

Eight-year wait is over for Michin

Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley captured the Women’s Tag Team championship just before the Money in the Bank 2026 PLE. B-Fab and Michin earned the title shot, with the actual fixture taking place on October 23 at Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.
Challengers entered the contest looking to dethrone Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley. B-Fab started against Bliss and showed aggression early, connecting with a sliding clothesline before attempting a quick pin. However, Bliss escaped and worked with Paxley to turn the momentum in their favor.
The champions combined their offence, with Paxley delivering a moonsault to the outside and Bliss following up with a crossbody. The challengers struggled to regain control as the match progressed, but Michin eventually found an opening.
The decisive moment came when Paxley became vulnerable near the ropes. With the referee distracted, Jade Cargill, who was supporting Michin and B-Fab at ringside, struck Paxley. Michin capitalised on the interference by delivering the Styles Clash and securing the three-count.
The victory crowned Michin and B-Fab as the new Women’s Tag Team Champions, ending Bliss and Paxley’s brief 14-day reign. For B-Fab and Michin, the result was particularly significant, as it marked their first-ever title reign in WWE. For Michin, this was her first title in WWE since her in-ring debut in 2017 in the Mae Young Classic tournament.
Notably, she signed with WWE in 2018, after her appearance in the tournament. Michin, who was visibly emotional after the match, reacted to the win, noting that she is thankful to capture the titles in her hometown.
What’s next for new champions B-Fab and Michin?
The championship victory gives the newly crowned champions an opportunity to establish themselves as a regular force in women’s tag team division. Their alliance with Cargill has already made them a formidable unit, and the latest result adds championship gold to their partnership.
However, their victory was not without controversy. Cargill’s interference played a decisive role in the outcome, giving Bliss and Paxley a possible reason to demand a rematch. The promotion could revisit the rivalry in the coming weeks, particularly given how recently the former champions won the titles.
For B-Fab, the achievement represents an important milestone after years of working to find her place in the company. She initially gained attention as part of Hit Row before continuing her wrestling career in different roles. Her first championship victory provides a new chapter in that journey.
Michin, meanwhile, will also be looking to make the most of her first championship success. Together, the new champions will need to prove that they can retain the titles against the division’s established teams, not just win them.
With Cargill remaining an influential presence around the duo, their next title defense could also test whether their partnership can succeed without outside interference. Fans now have a new team at the top of the division, and their reign will now be judged by how they handle the challengers coming for their gold.
