Some WWE superstars might not be best suited to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.
Brock Lesnar has laid an open challenge to all WWE superstars for a singles showdown at WrestleMania 42. The Beast Incarnate is one of the box office attractions for the Stamford-based promotion.
The 42nd WrestleMania is scheduled as a two-night extravaganza, set for April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
So, a match against Lesnar for any star would be a huge opportunity, yet a tall task. However, these five WWE superstars might not be best suited to face him at WrestleMania this year in Las Vegas, Nevada.
5. Omos

The rising Nigerian Giant of WWE, Omos, had the opportunity to battle Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39. Despite his valiant effort, he lost to The Beast, and the match received less than positive reviews.
Considering their last encounter, Omos’s extended absence, he should not have a rematch against Lesnar at Mania.

4. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho has been rumored to join WWE for a long time, and there could be a possibility of his return happening at WrestleMania 42. However, it should happen against a young star who could benefit from a match with Y2J rather than an established star like Brock Lesnar.
3. Rusev

Rusev is one of the most dominant and strongest WWE superstars on the current active roster. Despite that, he was handed a squash loss at the hands of the rising star, former NXT Champion, Oba Femi.
The Bulgarian Brute has looked very weak on the road to WrestleMania 42, so a match against Brock Lesnar might not attract any major attention.
2. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar had one of the most captivating title matches at WrestleMania 35. While Rollins could have another blockbuster encounter against The Beast again at The Show of Shows, The Visionary answering his open challenge right now might not be the best scenario.
WWE spent an entire year building up his storyline with The Vision faction, and he should have a match against one of the faction members at WrestleMania 42.
1. Gunther

The WWE Universe has been waiting to see a clash between Gunther and Brock Lesnar since they first had a brief encounter at the 2023 Royal Rumble event.
However, WrestleMania 42 might not be the place for it. Instead, the match could wait until SummerSlam, which is rumored to be Lesnar’s retirement bout. With Gunther’s ‘Career Killer’ gimmick going in full force, the match should happen when it is time for Lesnar to hang up his boots.
Who was Brock Lesnar’s last WrestleMania opponent?
Brock Lesnar’s most recent WrestleMania singles match was at WrestleMania 39, where he faced Omos.
When and where will WrestleMania 42 take place?
The 42nd edition of WrestleMania will take place as a two-night event on April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
