WWE WrestleMania 42 delivered chaos in the Women’s Tag Team Championship fatal four-way, as Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax and Lash Legend) defended against Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, Bayley & Lyra Valkyria, and Nikki, Brie Bella and Paige. With four teams in play, the match quickly spiraled into an all-out battle.
The opening sequence set a relentless pace. Lash Legend flattened Alexa Bliss with a lariat and followed with a hip check to Bayley before tagging in Nia Jax. The champions imposed their will early, combining for a big boot and Samoan drop that wiped out Bayley in dominant fashion.
Charlotte Flair briefly turned the tide with a diving crossbody that sent Jax to the outside, but control remained fleeting. Every competitor had moments to shine, creating a match defined by constant momentum swings and escalating physicality.
High-impact sequences keep momentum shifting
The match showcased a blend of power and precision as teams cycled in and out. Lyra Valkyria impressed with striking combinations, while Charlotte countered a missile dropkick into a powerbomb, reminding everyone of her elite in-ring awareness.
Brie Bella ignited the crowd with chest kicks and an enzuigiri that caught both Lyra and Charlotte, but Nia Jax halted her momentum by dragging her to the outside and launching her into the barricade. Lash Legend then elevated the brutality with a chokeslam onto the apron.
Alexa Bliss found an opening after Charlotte created space, delivering a diving tornado DDT to wipe out Legend. Bayley followed with a corner elbow and a “Demolition Decapitation” on Bliss, only for Lash to break up the pin and keep the champions alive.
In one of the most jaw-dropping moments, Brie found herself perched on the top rope with multiple competitors converging. Lash Legend stunned the crowd with a massive “DOUBLE POWERBOMB FROM LASH,” leaving bodies scattered across the ring.

Chaos peaks as a surprise return changes everything
As the action broke down further, tags flew in from all sides until a shocking twist shifted the match entirely. With Nikki Bella still sidelined, “PAIGE TAGS IN!”, sending the crowd into a frenzy as she entered the bout unexpectedly.
Paige wasted no time, unloading elbows and a flash kick on Jax while taking out Bayley and Charlotte in rapid succession. She connected with a fisherman suplex and followed with a diving crossbody, nearly sealing the win before Bayley intervened at the last moment.
The closing stretch saw pure mayhem. Nia Jax planted Bayley with a Samoan drop, Lyra attempted to capitalize, and Lash delivered a devastating Lash Extension that was broken up just in time. Meanwhile, Charlotte and Paige traded strikes before Flair hit Natural Selection in a frantic exchange.
The finish came amid complete disorder. Nikki Bella pulled Charlotte out of the ring and attacked her with a crutch, neutralizing a key threat. Bliss went for Twisted Bliss, but Paige countered the opening, seizing control in the final seconds.
Paige connected with a decisive “capture DDT” on Alexa Bliss, securing the pinfall alongside Brie Bella. The victory crowned Brie Bella and Paige as the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions in one of the most chaotic and unpredictable matches of the night.
