WrestleMania is the biggest event of the wrestling calendar, and all professional wrestlers dreams of featuring in it. The main event of WrestleMania is considered the most important match of the year. However, the privilege of closing the show of shows is bestowed upon very few superstars.

It is once in a lifetime opportunity, but some superstars are special enough to earn it with their hard work and dedication at an early age. In this article, we will take a look at the top 10 youngest superstars to ever main event WrestleMania.

10. King Kong Bundy

Age: 30 Years, 5 Months

King Kong Bundy main-evented WrestleMania 2 against Hulk Hogan in a steel cage match. Despite losing to the Hulkster, he made history by becoming the youngest wrestler to main event WrestleMania at that point, and he is still in the top 10 to this day. Moreover, this match is the first and the only traditional steel cage match to take place at WrestleMania.

9. Roman Reigns

Age: 29 Years, 10 Months, and 4 Days

Roman Reigns has been the face of WrestleMania for almost the entirety of his career. He has main-evented the showcase of the immortals on more occasions than any other wrestler in history.

WrestleMania 31 was the first time he closed the biggest Premium live event of the year. Although he saw Seth Rollins steal his dream of becoming the champion, it was the start of his run as the face of the company.

8. Sasha Banks

Age: 29 Years, 8 Months, 4 Days

WrestleMania 37 was WWE’s first show with fans in attendance after months due to the COVID-19 lockdown. It featured some incredible matches, but the major highlight of night one was the main event, where Sasha Banks defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair.

It was the second-ever women’s main event of WrestleMania, and it made Sasha Banks the youngest one to have so.

7. Randy Orton

Age: 29 Years, 4 Days

Randy Orton makes the number seven on this list with his main event against Triple H at Wrestlemania 25, and he did so a mere four days after his 29th birthday.

The build to their feud is considered one of the greatest WrestleMania builds of all time. However, just like our other entries on this list, ‘The Viper’ also lost the match against the game.

6. John Cena

Age: 28 Years, 11 Months, 10 Days

John Cena is considered the ‘Greatest of all Time’ by WWE themselves. The franchise player led the company as its face for more than a decade.

He won his first world championship at WrestleMania 21, but his first main event came the following year against Triple H, where he successfully defended his championship against the cerebral assassin.

WrestleMania 2000 featured a Fatal Four Way match in its main event with Triple H, The Rock, Mick Foley, and The Big Show facing each other for the biggest prize in the company.

While the Giant couldn’t win the title, he formed an entertaining partnership with Shane McMahon, which gave some unforgettable moments to the fans for the rest of the year.

3. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson

Age: 26 Years, 10 Months, 26 Days

The Rock is arguably the biggest superstar that WWE has ever created. Despite an underwhelming first run, Dwayne Johnson took the WWE universe by storm after adopting the persona of The Rock.

This saw him going up against Stone Cold Steve Austin in the main event of WrestleMania 15, which was the first of their trilogy at the grandest stage of them all.

2. Yokozuna

Age: 26 Years, 6 Months, 2 Days

The Samoan Sumo had a very dominating year in 1993, where he won the Royal Rumble and also defeated Bret Hart in the main event of WrestleMania to become one of the youngest World champions in WWE’s history. Despite losing it to Hulk Hogan just moments later, Yokozuna created history that day.

1. Brock Lesnar

Age: 25 Years, 8 Months, 18 Days

Brock Lesnar was dubbed the next big thing the moment he made his debut. He was a perfect WWE superstar, and the company pushed him to the top of the card in his very first year. He main-evented WrestleMania 19 along with Kurt Angle.

Both of these superstars created magic whenever they collaborated on something, and their match in the main event was no exception. Despite it featuring one of the worst botches in the company’s history, it made Brock the youngest superstar to compete and win in the main event of WrestleMania.
