Aditi made the cut in two distinctive categories.

The World Archery 2023 awards have created a buzz of anticipation and excitement by revealing the shortlists for nine distinct categories, including six highly coveted trophies. Public voting, scheduled from November 10 to December 10, 2023, will determine the winners of these prestigious accolades. Additionally, the distinguished title of “Athlete of the Year” will be conferred by a panel of eminent journalists.

Notably, the prestigious “Athlete of the Year” award was bestowed upon Great Britain’s archer, Ella Gibson, in the previous year, with Italy’s barebow archer, Cinzia Noziglia, as a surprising runner-up alongside other distinguished laureates such as Olympic Champion An San and world para champion Matt Stutzman.

In 2023, ten prestigious award categories will be presented, each designed to acknowledge and honor exceptional achievements in various aspects of archery. These categories encompass overarching excellence, recognition for breakthrough talents, accolades for coaching and judging, and distinctions for both male and female archers in the recurve and compound divisions.

Of noteworthy mention is Aditi Swami Gopichand, a distinguished Indian archer who has received nominations in two distinct categories. This double acknowledgment underscores her extraordinary contributions to the sport of archery, solidifying her position as a prominent figure in this highly competitive field.

The recipients of the World Archery 2023 Awards will not only revel in the distinction of their achievements but will also have the privilege of receiving tangible accolades. The highly anticipated announcement of the award winners is scheduled for early 2024, adding to the excitement and prestige of this recognition.
