Full list of Indian medallists at Archery Asia Cup 2024

Deepika Kumari bagged two gold medals for India.

Indian archery team concluded their campaign at the Archery Asia Cup 2024 in Baghdad, Iraq, with 14 medals. The tally included nine gold, four silver, and one bronze, marking a significant achievement for the team.

Three-time Olympian Deepika Kumari clinched the gold medal in the women’s individual recurve category, defeating compatriot Simranjeet Kaur 6-2. This victory further solidifies Kumari’s standing as one of the leading figures in Indian archery.

In the men’s recurve archery title, Dhiraj Bommadevara emerged victorious in an all-Indian final, beating Tarundeep Rai 7-3. Bommadevara’s win is a testament to the depth of talent in Indian archery.

India also clinched top honours in all the compound individual events, clinching top positions in the men’s and women’s compound events. Parneet Kaur triumphed over Iran’s Fatemeh Hemmati 138-135 in the women’s gold medal match, while Prathamesh Jawkar edged out teammate Kushal Dalal for the men’s title.

The Indian women’s recurve team, comprising Simranjeet Kaur, Deepika Kumari, and Bhajan Kaur, clinched gold after defeating Uzbekistan 5-4 via shootout in a closely fought final. This victory underscores the strength of the Indian women’s team on the international stage.

Meanwhile, the men’s team, consisting of Dhiraj Bommadevara, Pravin Ramesh Jadhav, and Tarundeep Rai, ousted Bangladesh to claim the gold. Bommadevara and Simranjeet also won the mixed team recurve gold, blanking Bangladesh 6-0 in the final.
