Leeds United release statement to apologize for Marcelo Bielsa 'spygate' incident
The Peacocks beat The Rams at Elland Road via goals from Kemar Roofe, and Jack Harrison.
Leeds United have issued a statement that the club will talk to gaffer Marcelo Bielsa, after the Argentine admitted to allegations that he had sent a spy on Derby County's training session. It was done prior to their Championship encounter, which Leeds won 2-0.
The 63-year old confessed after his side's victory at home on 11th January. The master tactician expressed that the incident has overshadowed his side's win over Frank Lampard's Derby.
To add more spice to the drama, the former Lazio gaffer only apologised for the reaction he has received, as he wasn't sure if he would not do it again, as the practice is apparently common in Argentina.
In the wake of the issue, Leeds United have revealed statement, which shows that club owner Andrea Radrizzani has expressed his apology to Derby's Mel Morris.

The statement read, "Following comments made by Marcelo Bielsa yesterday the club will look to work with our head coach and his staff to remind them of the integrity and honesty which are the foundations that Leeds United is built on. Our owner Andrea Radrizzani has met with Derby County’s owner Mel Morris to formally apologise for Marcelo’s actions."
