If you are a rich club you can buy top players, you cannot buy class- Jose Mourinho

The Portuguese tactician has fired the latest salvo in the war of words between the ace managers.

The whole of Premier League 2017-18, Manchester City team and Pep Guardiola were followed by a film crew to record the iconic moments of the historic Premier League triumph. On the eve of the release of the documentary, cross-city rival Manchester United gaffer Jose Mourinho takes a dig at it.

The eight-part series was released on Friday, showing clips from inside the dressing room, the boardroom and on the training ground. 

Mourinho said: "I think you can have a fantastic movie, respecting others. You don't need to be disrespectful."

"I haven't seen it but I know a few things about the movie. My reaction is if you are a rich club you can buy top players, you cannot buy class. That is my first reaction.

"The second reaction is because I am in the movie, I could ask for some royalties."

The second episode is about City's win at Old Trafford in December, with the narration saying: "It is Guardiola versus Mourinho once more; possession versus defence; attacking football versus 'park-the-bus'".

The same episode later shows City fans chanting 'park the bus', intercut with clips of Mourinho in his post-match press conference, dismissively responding to questions about possession statistics. That game ended with a controversy including City fans refusing to leave Old Trafford after that win.

City could have won the title on April 7, after having a lead of 2 goals at halftime but a Paul Pogba inspired com-back meant the Red Devils had stalled their celebrations.

The hosts had printed souvenir T-shirts in the hope they would clinch the title that day, but the celebrations were delayed by two weeks.

As reported by BBC, Jose said,"You know, a movie without me doesn't sell much. I needed to be there."

"But if they send me one of the shirts they had in the tunnel when we played there, the shirts that were saying: 'We did it on derby day."

"If they send me one of these shirts, I give up about the royalties."
