After a glorious outing on Friday, that saw India clinch six historic gold medals and jump to fifth in the medal tally at Asian Games 2026, the contingent will be back for the final day of the continental event eager to add more medals to its tally and finish on a high.
India won 10 medals on October 2, taking its total to 76 in the overcall count, of which 16 have come in gold.
They will need to add more gold medals on Saturday if they’re to match the fourth-place finish in Hangzhou three years ago.

India will be confident of clinching gold in at least two events—with the men’s cricket and hockey teams in action. Both teams are defending champions and are playing to successfully retain their gold medal.
While the cricket team will face Pakistan in the gold medal match, the hockey team are up against Malaysia in the final. Both teams will also play for quota places at LA Olympics 2028.
In wrestling, the likes of Antim Panghal and Olympic medallist Anam Sehrawat will hope to pile on the gold while in archery, India’s recurve individual stars will be in action.
Archers Kumum Mohod and Dhiraj Bommadevara will look to carry the momentum from team events to the individual vents and contest for medals.

India will also be in action in volleyball, where the men’s team will play for fifth-place finish, while the women’s rugby team will also be in action in classification rounds.
In golf, Pranavi Urs is among the medal favourites while both the men’s and women’s teams are also among the contenders heading into the final day.
