Archery, cricket, golf, hockey, taekwondo and wrestling to offer final medal chances
The Asian Games 2026 have reached the business end, with Saturday marking the final day of the Aichi-Nagoya edition. The continental spectacle has delivered 13 days of high-quality action and entertainment across Asia, and Day 14 promises to be no different.
It has been a largely impressive campaign for Team India. While the contingent has fallen short of the 100-medal mark achieved at the previous edition in Hangzhou, India have still made their presence felt with medals in disciplines where they were not considered outright favourites.
As of Friday, India have 76 medals in their tally — 16 gold, 25 silver and 35 bronzes. Archery added gold and silver, while boxing contributed a gold, with sailing and sepak takraw also securing bronze medals on the day.
India will have a final opportunity to add to their tally on Saturday, with medal chances in archery, cricket, golf, hockey, taekwondo and wrestling. Indian athletes will also be in action in rugby and volleyball, with classification outcomes at stake in both sports.
