Asian Games 2026: India’s updated schedule for today, September 17
India’s campaign in Teqball starts on Thursday
The Asian Games 2026 officially begin on September 19, but India’s campaign will get underway two days earlier with the Teqball competition in Nagoya.
Aichi and Nagoya are jointly hosting this edition of the Asian Games which makes it only the third time Japan has staged the event after Tokyo in 1958 and Hiroshima in 1994.
The Games will run until October 4, bringing together athletes from across the continent for 36 sports. India arrives on the back of its best-ever showing at the last edition in Hangzhou, where the contingent claimed 107 medals, including 28 gold, to finish fourth overall, and will be eager to push that tally even higher this time around.
