One of the leading World Athletics competitions, Diamond League 2023, is all set to begin with its season-opener beginning in Doha, Qatar. The Doha Diamond League 2023 will take place on May 5. The Diamond League will have fourteen stops, with the final event taking place on September 16 and 17 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, in the United States. This will be the first time an edition of the Diamond League will have a final stop in the USA. However, the 25-year-old will face stiff competition from the World Athletics Championships 2022 gold medalist Anderson Peters, the Olympics silver and Worlds bronze medalist Jakub Vadlejch, and the European Championships 2022 champion Julian Weber.
Another Indian athlete, Eldhose Paul, the Commonwealth Games 2022 gold medalist in the men’s triple jump will also be competing in the Doha Diamond League 2023. However, the challenge for the 26-year-old Paul will be tough as he battles it out against the likes of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics champion Pedro Pichardo and the USA’s Christian Taylor, whose personal best of 18.21 m places him second on the list of all-time best jumps.
