Only one Indian athlete will be in action in Zurich
The 2026 Diamond League Final will bring the world’s best athletes together at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels on September 4 and 5. Across two days, champions will be crowned in all 32 Diamond League disciplines, with the season’s biggest names battling for the prestigious Diamond Trophy.
Mondo Duplantis will headline the field in the pole vault, with Emmanouil Karalis of Greece providing a major challenge. The sprint events will also have plenty of star power, with Caribbean Olympic champions Julien Alfred and Oblique Seville among those set to compete.
Masai Russell, Alison dos Santos and Yaroslava Mahuchikh add further Olympic pedigree to the field, while Miltiadis Tentoglou will be one of the leading names in the long jump.
India’s Neeraj Chopra, however, will be a notable absentee. The javelin star was forced to withdraw after suffering an ankle ligament tear, meaning there will be no Indian athlete competing in this year’s Diamond League Final.
