Diamond League athletics circuit is set to begin its 2024 season in the city of Xiamen, China, on Saturday, April 20. The Xiamen Diamond League 2024 will mark the start of a worldwide tour showcasing the best track and field athletes, culminating in the final event in Brussels, Belgium, in September.

The Xiamen Diamond League meet will feature various exciting events, including the men’s pole vault, where athletes will attempt to soar over incredible heights.

The women’s discus throw will showcase the raw power and precision of the competitors, while the men’s 5000m race will test their endurance to the limit. Additionally, fans can look forward to the lightning-fast women’s 100m hurdles and the grueling women’s 400m race, where speed and stamina will be on full display.

Triple jumper Abdulla Aboobacker will be the sole Indian representative at the Xiamen Diamond League. The 28-year-old Abdulla Aboobacker, who won a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games with an impressive leap of 17.02 meters, will be looking to make his mark on the global stage. This season, he has already started strong with a jump of 16.76 meters, setting the stage for an exciting performance in Xiamen.
