Where and how to watch Japan Open 2023 live in India?
The eyes will be on Lakshya Sen, HS Prannoy and Satwik/Chirag to win India's first title on Japanese soil.
Japan Open 2023 - BWF Super 750 Tournament will start on July 25, 2023. The competition has been held annually since 1977 and the current edition is set to take place at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo. No Indian has ever won the title and this time, with the likes of Satwik/Chirag (who are in red hot form), Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy would look to end the title drought. Sindhu would also look to regain form before the World Championships as she will be with her new coach Hafiz Hashim.
In 2022, HS Prannoy managed to reach the quarter-finals losing to Chou Tien Chen in three thrilling games (17-21, 21-15, 20-22). Satwik/Chirag and PV Sindhu didn't participate, while Srikanth and Lakshya lost to home favourites in rounds 2 and 1 respectively. India's best performance came in 2019 and 2011 when B Sai Praneeth and Saina Nehwal reached the semi-finals of the prestigious Japan Open.
