Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty achieve career best position in latest BWF rankings

Rohan Kapoor and Sikki Reddy into the top 30 in mixed doubles
India's top men's doubles duo Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty rise to career best World No.2 spot in men's doubles in the recently released BWF Rankings on Tuesday. The Asian champions have moved up by a one spot after a third BWF 500 tour title win at the Korea Open last week.
The Commonwealth Games 2022 champions is on a roll for the past month. Although the Indian pair did not have a good start to the season, they managed to crawl back in the European tour by winning the Swiss Open. They then followed it up with a Indonesian Open - BWF 1000 title and Korea Open - BWF 500 title to achieve their all-time career-best rankings with 87,211 points.
Apart from the three BWF title wins this year, Satwik-Chirag became the first Indian men's duo to claim the gold medal at the Asian Badminton Championships and currently are on a ten match unbeaten streak followed by two successive title wins.
Other Indians in the fray, HS Prannoy retained his 10th place after a second round exit last week at the Korea Open. Lakshya Sen after a successful American tour withdrew from Korea Open which sees him lose a spot and is ranked 13th. His compatriot Kidambi Srikanth remains steady on WR-20.
In the women's section, PV Sindhu retains WR-17 from last week with Saina Nehwal dropping a spot to WR-37. After exiting midway in the opening encounter at Korea Open, MR Arjun and Dhru Kapila retain WR-27 spot.
Mixed doubles pairing of Rohan Kapoor and Sikki Reddy jumped ahead by five spots to WR-30 after finishing pre-quarterfinalist last week. This was also their first win at the BWF 500 stage.
