The Hylo Open 2023, established in 1988, is an annual badminton tournament that is set to host its 35th edition in 2023. Over the years, it has experienced changes in its tournament level. In 2018, it held the status of a Super 100 tournament, and by 2021, it was elevated to Super 500. However, the following year, in 2022, it was downgraded to a Super 300 tournament. The 2023 edition is scheduled to take place at Saarlandhalle in Saarbrücken, Germany, running from October 31 to November 5, 2023.

Several Indian players have achieved success at the Hylo Open throughout its history. Chetan Anand secured the distinction of becoming the first Indian to win the tournament in 2008. Other notable Indian winners include Jwala Gutta and Valiyaveeti Diju (2008), Rupesh Kumar and Sanave Thomas (2009), Shubhankar Dey (2018), and Lakshya Sen (2019).
