The Hylo Open 2023 is an annual badminton tournament inaugurated in 1988. This will be the 35th edition of the tournament. In 2018, the tournament was Super 100 tournament and in 2021 was upgraded to super 500. However, next year it was again downgraded to super 300. The 2023 edition is scheduled be held at Saarlandhalle in Saarbrücken, Germany, from 31 October to 5 November 2023

Ong Yew Sin and Teo Ee Yi are the only Malaysian men's doubles pair to have triumphed at the tournament in the year 2016. The only other pair to have won here was of Chan Peng Soon along with Goh Liu Ying who won the first title for Malaysia in 2011. Eyes will be on the former champions as well as NG Tze Yong, who with a runners up finish at the Arctic Open 2023 would like to continue his good form.
