Full list of nations participating at Badminton Asia Team Championships 2024

The tournament will take place in Malaysia from February 13.

The Badminton Asia Team Championships 2024 is set to take place in Shah Alam, Malaysia, from February 13 to 18. It is a biennial which takes place with a gap of two years. A total of 15 teams in the men’s categories and a total of 11 teams in the women’s categories are set to take part in the competition.

Thomas Cup winners and silver medallists in Asian Games 2023 (men’s team), India have announced their teams for the Badminton Asia Team Championships 2024. Amongst the many shuttlers, one name which will provide relief to the eyes of the fans is the return of PV Sindhu. The 28-year-old shuttler is coming back after a knee injury that she sustained in October 2023.

This is going to be a very important event for shuttlers across the world to get much-needed badminton practice before the Paris Olympics 2024. However, in team events, it is much more than just match practice. The team event will be important for Indian shuttlers to gain valuable qualification points in the Race to Paris 2024.

Although India is fielding is one of the strongest contingents, there will stiff challenges from other nations like China, Korea and Malaysia.
