BWF Rules and Regulations (Article 7.2)
7.2 Players/pairs can only win points for their one best result in a 52-week period in any of theabove team Championships.
As in 2023-24 season, only one of Sudirman Cup 2023 and Badminton Asia Team Championships 2024 will get counted, whichever is the highest.
7.2.1 If a player/pair win a match, they get their average (calculation of average is shownbelow) plus the sum of the total ranking points of their opponent(s) divided by 100.
If Lakshya Sen has 55691 points, he’ll get 5569 points along with, 1% of the highest ranked opponent he defeated points which is Lu Guang Zu from where he’ll get 571 points.
7.2.2 If a player/pair lose a match, they get their average (see calculation below).
So, in that case the player or pair gets their points/10.
7.2.3 If a player/pair win a match but do not have a World Ranking, then they win one point, plus the sum of the total ranking points of their opponent(s) divided by 100.
