With the Canada Open now concluded, attention turns to the Japan Open 2025, a premier BWF Super 750 tournament set to unfold at the prestigious Yokohama Arena, Tokyo. The tournament features a prize money of US$950,000.

In men’s singles, all eyes will be on World No. 1 Kunlavut Vitidsarn, who headlines the draw as the top seed. He’ll be challenged by a formidable lineup including Anders Antonsen, Shi Yuqi, Jonatan Christie, and Li Shifeng, each eyeing momentum in the final stretch of the 2025 season.

The women’s singles competition is equally stacked, led by World No. 1 An Se-young. She’s joined by Chen Yufei, Akane Yamaguchi, Han Yue, and rising star Tomoka Miyazaki.

In men’s doubles, Malaysia’s Goh Sze Fei / Nur Izzuddin enter as top seeds, closely followed by Aaron Chia / Soh Wooi Yik, and the Korean pair Kim Won-ho / Seo Seung-jae. The draw also features strong duos from Indonesia, China, and Denmark.
